    The closest Hotels to us are Holiday Inn Express & Suites and SpringHill Suites

    If you are looking to stay in Old town Winchester The George Washington Hotel is just one block from many local favorite Restaurants, Bars, and Shops.

    For those With Campers or RVs we recommend Candy Hill Campground Who are open year round with phone reservations.

  • Food

    Snow White Grill - This amazing little place Keeps it simple with slider style burgers and fries. After over 75 years in business this place is a staple of Old Town Winchester.

    Roma Old Town Wood-Fired Pizzeria - This is a great spot if you are looking for a modern Wood fired pizza or Italian Dish. The downstairs offers Normal seating while the upstairs offers larger Family style that can accommodate larger groups.

    Manolete’s Cocina Gourmet - For lovers of both Seafood or Mexican this place has you covered. They offer a wide selection of original Mexican style seafood options in addition to those they have your standard Tex-mex options for those who prefer the classics.

  • Drinks

    Dividing Creek Beer Co. - While it's a short menu this craft brewery has something for everyone, they almost always have one of every style of brew. While they do not have an in house kitchen they do allow any outside food.(Snow White Grill is right next door)

    Vibrissa Beer - Just off downtown this Location Offers over a dozen different beers and a local cider and even a few cocktails. This location has a full food menu with many fantastic options.

    The Cider House - For local Ciders this is your place to go. They are known for their English Style cider which is on the dryer side they offer a large selection that is sure to please any palate. There English inspiration continues on into their full food menu offering many traditional English fare.

  • Shopping

    Mountain Trails - For the outdoor enthusiast this place has everything from Backpacks, Cloths, and Gear to the less common with a selection of Climbing ropes and Equipment.

    Incredible Flying Objects (IFO) - This Local place is a hit for both kids and adults. with a large selection of toys, tricks, magic supplies, and gifts this place is worth a stop for everyone.

    Handworks Gallery - This place has a beautiful selection of Local, American and Global hand crafted items that cover just about everything from clothing, jewelry, and arts & crafts.

  • Things to Do

    Museum of the Shenandoah Valley - Year round this museum has a great collection of miniature houses and local historical art works. Be sure to check out their coming soon page to see the current exhibitions.

    Discovery Museum - A great place for the kiddos, lots of hands-on exhibits and activities. From Native American history, constructions, farming, and apple picking. This place offers an entry level place for kids to learn.

    Old Town Mall - While this already came up with a few of the Shops, Food, and Drink places we listed. It's worth mentioning this place again all on its own. One of the few walking malls still around this place offers a unique experience with Historic buildings, and local business both old and new. For the kids they even have a splash fountain in the warmer months.

  • Off The Beaten Path

    Hiking - For entry level outdoor adventures, The Shenandoah University River Campus, has both paved paths near the river and a short dirt trail to a waterfall. Skyline drive in Front Royal offers many parking views and hiking at almost every level of difficulty.

    Food and Drink - While they are not as close we have a few stand out places that may fit into your plans. On route 7 Three places we love are More Better for food and for drinks Bear Chase Brewing Company and Bluemont Vineyard. In Front Royal we always stop at Spelunker's, Melting Pot Pizza, or Main Street Mill Restaurant.

    Underground - We just couldn't leave out one more of our favorite places to go while it is a bit further out. This place is worth a stop if you have the time. Luray Caverns is the largest cavern network on the East coast and the only cavern with a Stalacpipe Organ.
